Seeing Red at Seattle's Motore Coffee

Motore Coffee, in the Denny Triangle, is a fun little space. They serve Caffe Vita, with a fair amount of finesse. But there are so many fun little spaces around Seattle serving Caffe Vita, so why go out of your way to visit Motore? I'll give you three easy reasons.

First off, if you're in the Denny Triangle, there actually are not that many great coffee options. That makes Motore Coffee the easy choice. If you want a truly decent cup of independently brewed coffee, Motore is one of few places to go.

Secondly, Motore's decor is accented by the most fabulous red. Shiny red side tables, of the happiest color; not an angry red, or a romantic red, or a cliche red. Simply, the happiest shade of red! (Really.)

Third and finally, I can't recall the last time I had such an entertaining cup of coffee. Without hazarding an actual guess at how much espresso the barista must have quaffed the morning I was there, I gather it was a lot. The banter between himself and the row of politely listening gentlemen at the bar was epic. And certainly lacking in neither wit nor volume.

Need a pick-me-up for your Monday? Try setting your Americano down on a cheery, red table, and eavesdropping on the baristas at Motore Coffee. They are located at 1904 9th Avenue (at Stewart), and open Monday through Friday from 6:30 am - 6:00 pm.
