If you've spent your life struggling to achieve a mouth-gasm, consider Uneeda Burger your Babeland. Any one of their fine burgers may be the one to bring you to bliss, but the #2 with sweet caramelized onions, tart blue cheese and delicate watercress is one of the most well thought out, all around delectable edibles ever. Even though their all-natural Painted Hills beef is divine, go ahead and sub the Whidbey Island Crescent Harbor 100% Wagyu (Kobe) grass-fed beef, because you my friend are living for the moment!
Found on their Antipasti e Insalate menu Tulio's take on this traditional dish-- served with Sage butter and mascarpone-- are pillowy, tender, little bites of heaven. Go ahead and order two. After all, you only live once.
Light, flavorful and served with house made picked shallots and perfectly toasted crostini, this meal of an appetizer makes an impression. It's one of those dishes that will embed itself in your sense memory and prod you into second or third visits.
There are Vietnamese style sandwiches all over this town and their Pho may have its detractors, but Lucky's "California" version (aka with avocado) is consistently delicious. In order for this sandwich to work, the bread has to be perfectly crisp on the outside and chewy in the middle, the pulled pork tender and flavorful, the Hoison sweet and tangy, and the veggies (radishes, cukes, carrots, jalapenos and the aforementioned avocado) very fresh. Lucky's hit the mark on all counts.
