The biggest opening announcement this week: Southern California based vegan chain The Veggie Grill is scheduled to launch two of "many locations" in Seattle by June. The popular eatery features a plant-based menu of American comfort food (think Vegan fast food) including burgers, mac-n-cheese, and wings. Addresses have yet to be announced.

In Belltown, Henry and Oscar's is now open at 2525 4th Ave. The upscale supper club features a martini bar and classic American cuisine like buttermilk chicken and steak. Also in the neighborhood, Mestizo Tequila Ultra Lounge & Grill is taking over the former Twist space at 2313 1st Ave. The establishment will boast over 200 types of tequila, as well as Caribbean and Latin fare. Doors open March 1.

On Capitol Hill, the second installment of D'Ambrosio Gelato opens in the former Varro space at 1542 12th Ave. in February. The location will be larger than the original in Ballard. Thus, customers can expect more flavors and a larger vegan selection, as well as cannoli, panini, and espresso.

In Magnolia, Dish it up! at 2425 33rd Ave. W. closes on February 28. Fortunately, its employees and merchandise will be able to move across the bridge to the Ballard store.

Lastly, in Queen Anne, Tenoch Mexican Grill at 2232 Queen Anne Ave. N. has closed. But fans can still get their fix at the International District location.
