Short and sweet week in restaurant news! First off, downtown, Trophy Cupcakes is opening its first pop-up shop in Pacific Place from Monday, November 14 to Saturday, December 31. Customers can expect the popular bakery to feature two seasonal flavors during its stint in the shopping plaza: candied yam, followed by chocolate candy cane cupcakes.
In Ballard, Full Tilt has opened its fourth shop at 5453 Leary Ave. N.W.. The popular ice cream parlor features eclectic flavors, beer and soda, and pinball machines. In related news, all Full Tilt locations are now open on Mondays.In South Lake Union, local Mexican chain Cactus is opening its fourth location at the northwest corner of Terry Ave. N. and Harrison St. The restaurant was originally scheduled to launch late summer, but the date has been pushed to "around November 15."
And lastly, in the U District, the owner of Taste of India at 5517 Roosevelt Way N.E. is transforming the space next door into a restaurant featuring affordable cuisine from America, India, and the Middle East. The still unnamed establishment should be up and running in January of next year.
