Cannabis Caramel Corn: Let's Get Stoned and Sticky

Freshness is, of course, crucial when it comes to a treat like this, and I was delighted to find these kernels crisp and delicious. And in a fortuitous confluence of flavors, it turns out the exotically herbal marijuana taste of cannabutter blends wonderfully with the taste of caramelized popcorn.

?It's possible to make a marijuana-infused version of almost anything using pot-infused butter (cannabutter), and caramel corn is no exception. While in Greenwood medical-marijuana dispensary Green Relief recently, I spotted some medicated caramel corn from THC Treats, also known for their excellent cannabis sodas.

The corn came in a cellophane bag inside a plastic cup. Once I was safely back home, I consumed the entire container full, as advised by budtender Shane, and was not disappointed.

It's a pleasant and tasty way to get your medication; what could be more relaxing than munching on caramel corn while watching a movie? The effects may start setting in before you've finished the stuff, if you eat slowly; expect to be medicated about 45 minutes after eating, and be aware that you'll stay that way for at least a couple hours. I recommend the caramel corn as a nighttime snack; its pain relief makes for some very restful sleep.

You can find THC Treats Caramel Corn at numerous dispensaries in the Seattle area including Green Relief, 145 N.W. 85th St., Suite 203 (upstairs), in Greenwood. Call 363-2556, e-mail greenreliefmeds@gmail.com, or visit www.greenreliefmeds.com for more information.
