First off, on Capitol Hill, a new restaurant is taking over the former Oasis Café space at 1024 E. Pike St. this November. Chino's will feature street-food-inspired Mexican and Taiwanese cuisine.

Down on First Hill, a German eatery called Kafe Berlin is undergoing construction in fittingly, the German Heritage Society building at 613 Ninth Ave.

In Fremont, a Mexican restaurant and tequila bar is moving into the former Rialto space at 4307 Fremont Ave. N. Scheduled to open this fall, Pecado Bueno will feature burritos, enchiladas, and more made of local and organic products.

In Green Lake, organic bakery Cake Envy is now open in the former Souped Up space at 2800 E. Green Lake Dr. N. The shop specializes in cakes and cupcakes, as well as coffee, tea, and--as soon as its liquor license comes through--beer, champagne, and wine.

In Phinney Ridge, Chocolat Vitale is now open at 6257 Third Ave. N.W.. The shop features both local and European confections, but specializes in European-style hot cocoa made from a blend of Belgian and Swiss chocolate.

In West Seattle, Stuffed Cakes is opening at 9003 35th Ave. S.W. Its signature cocktail-flavored cupcakes, including margarita and White Russian, should be available by the end of October. Also in the neighborhood, Garlic Jim's Famous Gourmet Pizza at 4520 California Ave. S.W. has closed.

And lastly, over on the Eastside, Two Twelve on Central Bistro & Bar is now open in downtown Kirkland. The restaurant features Mediterranean cuisine and local wines.
