Former Anchovies & Olives chef Charles Walpole is opening a restaurant in Eastlake.
First off, on Beacon Hill, Orcas Landing quietly opened some weeks ago at 5609 Rainier Ave. S. The watering hole serves several taps on rotation and comfort food like beer-battered onion rings and mac 'n' cheese.

In Eastlake, Seattle chef Charles Walpole is opening a restaurant called Blind Pig Bistro at 2238 Eastlake Ave. E. Occupying the space until last Friday was the beloved Nettletown. But Walpole has plenty of experience creating a menu at a popular eatery--he formerly headed the kitchen of Ethan Stowell's Italian eatery Anchovies & Olives.

And lastly, Zaw Artisan Pizza opened its newest location last weekend weekend at 4612 Stone Way N. The artisan take-and-bake pizzeria offers a variety of pies and salads, and has added Manny's growlers to the menu.
