    Bellevue says goodbye to Barrio.
First off, in Ballard, A Caprice Kitchen at 1418 N.W. 70th St. closes after dinner on Saturday, July 9. A new owner will soon take over the cute café space and plans to change the menu, but keep the former eatery's tradition of using locally sourced ingredients.

On Beacon Hill, Bar del Corso is scheduled to open on Tuesday, July 12. The establishment, based in the former Beacon Pub space at 3057 Beacon Ave. S., will serve traditional Italian fare, including small plates, brick-oven pizza, and desserts like homemade gelato.

In Belltown, my favorite happy-hour spot Twist at 2313 First Ave. closed its doors on Sunday. Check out my eulogy to what would have been a surefire pick for this year's Best of Seattle issue had it stayed in business just a little longer.

On Capitol Hill, the newest venture from the owner of both Baguette Box and Monsoon is scheduled to open this Thursday, July 7. Ba Bar at 550 12th Ave. will be a noodle shop specializing in authentic Vietnamese street food. Also in the neighborhood, a sushi restaurant is also scheduled to open this week. Saizen Sushi, based beneath the Joule Apartments at 523 Broadway E., will feature a conveyor belt for customers to select dishes from, as well as a sake bar.

And lastly, over on the Eastside, Barrio's Bellevue location at 10650 N.E. Fourth St. has closed so its owners can transform the venue into an event and catering space. Check out Hanna Raskin's report for more details.
