In other news, MyBallard reports that Sunny Teriyaki, at 2021 N.W. Market St., is officially closed. Instead, go down the street to newly opened Thai Thani at the corner of Ballard Avenue Northwest and Leary Avenue, which has taken over the location of a former Subway. My Ballard also reports that Burger Hero will be moving into the original Lunchbox Laboratory (since moved to Lake Union) space on 15th Avenue Northwest.
Finally, MyBallard also shares that Bastille Cafe and Bar at 5307 Ballard Ave. N.W. is celebrating Bastille Day with food and drink specials starting at 4:30 p.m. with a beer garden. They will also host a petanque tournament, similar to bocce, which starts at 1 pm. The appeal of petanque is its unpredictability, so winners may suddenly become losers. No wonder the French like it.
