    Here's your rundown of a busy week in food news.

    First off, on Capitol Hill, Steve Han of popular Japanese restaurants Umi Sake House and Kushibar in Belltown is opening a Kyoto-inspired eatery at 1522 12th Ave. this September. Momiji will serve traditional Japanese cuisine, including sushi, and will also feature a full bar.

    Downtown, Molly Moon's Homemade Ice Cream opens inside Chocolate Box at 108 Pine St. today. To celebrate the grand opening and collaboration between the two businesses, children 12 and under will receive a free scoop of their choice from 3 to 5 p.m.

    In Fremont, Bluebird Homemade Ice Cream & Tea Room is opening a second "micro-creamery" on Fremont Avenue later this summer.

    In Greenlake, a bakery and cafe called Cake Envy is coming to 7900 E. Green Lake Dr. N. Cake Envy will offer cakes and cupcakes, as well as Caffe Umbria coffee and free wi-fi.

    In Phinney Ridge, the currently Capitol Hill-based pie-delivery business A la Mode Pies is moving operations and opening its first café at 5821 Phinney Ave. N. by September. The shop will feature pies by the slice or whole, Bluebird ice cream, and espresso.

    And lastly, over in Queen Anne, Pop Kitchen + Bar will open inside Experience Music Project at 325 Fifth Ave. N. on Friday, July 16. The restaurant will feature an American menu with offerings like bacon-wrapped Kobe dogs and Caesar deviled eggs, as well as a full bar.
