After a weekend of rain, Beacon Hill Blog announced that its neighborhood Pinata Party would be postponed until next Saturday, July 23, from 3-6 p.m. in Stevens Place Park. Meanwhile, La Casa Azul will open its second location in Wallingford at 1715 N. 45th St., according to Wallyhood. The restaurant has one location in Greenwood near Shoreline and serves "authentic, homemade Mexican cuisine" and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
In other news, MyBallard reports that the owner of a Ballard farmers market staple, Patty Pan Grill, will serve her community dinner, "The Humble Feast," at the Salmon Bay Eagles Lodge in Ballard starting tonight, Monday July 18, at 7 p.m. The dinners cost $12 per person or $10 in advance, and are meant to show the affordability of eating local. Dinners will be held on the third Wednesday of each month going forward.
Finally, Capitol Hill Seattle shares that the neighborhood has a new food truck, Dora's Island, which is serving daytime hot dogs, hamburgers, tamales, and pollo asado in the parking lot next to Gilda's at 1400 Broadway.
