Po Dog is reopening as a full bar in the U District.
First off, in city-wide food news: Damiana's Blue Truck Special launches this week. The mobile food truck will feature comfort food in the form of sandwiches, including fried bologna, meatloaf, and ratatouille. Also, Fuji Bakery is looking to open a third location. Is your neighborhood in need of a Japanese pastry store? After three months of searching, the owners have turned to customers for suggestions on where to set up shop next.

On Capitol Hill, Five Fish Bistro is moving into the UPS store space at 410 Broadway Ave. E.. Operated by Garnet Alexa Pitre, formerly of Wolfgang Puck and the Westin, the eatery will feature, like the name suggests, five fresh fish dishes daily, including the classic fish and chips.

Downtown, upscale restaurant 94 Stewart--famous for its fried avocado--has closed. Its owners have already begun working on another project. Meanwhile, Kastoori Grill takes over the space and begins serving Nepalese and Tibetan cuisine on August 5.

In the University District, wacky wiener eatery Po Dog at 4736 University Way N.E. closes shop on Saturday, July 30. But fans need not worry--it reopens as a full bar on Thursday, August 4.

And, lastly, on Beacon Hill, Indian restaurant Travelers Thali House opens at 2524 Beacon Ave. S. on Friday, August 5.
