Cupcake Royal unveils "The Gay," a rainbow-chip cupcake honoring Gay Pride Month, Eater Seattle reports. Half the proceeds from this month's sales will go to the It Gets Better Project, a support website for LGBT youth started by Village Voice sex columnist Dan Savage and his partner, Terry Miller.

In other news, SeattleMet reports that Potbelly Sandwich Shop made its debut downtown at Fourth and Pike. The Chicago-based chain is a favorite in the Midwest and along the East Coast, but will it survive in the West?

In addition, The Lucky Diner opened yesterday at 2630 First Ave. in Belltown, bringing Americana favorites to tipsy weekend patrons until 4 am.

Finally, according to PhinneyWood, New's Noodles, at 8576 Greenwood Ave. N., re-welcomed customers Monday after a fire in November forced the Thai restaurant to close for repairs.
