"There've been a couple different parties looking at it three days ago, and three more looking at it today," says Dunn, showing some prospective heirs around the Stirrup Room (the Rimrock's lounge) as we spoke on the phone. "Everybody's coming out of the woodwork now."
Dunn says one of those everybodies wants to turn the Rimrock into a sports bar. But the other handful of would-be owners would keep the 'Rock largely intact. Either way, Dunn's veteran bar broker, Mike Mead, is confident a deal will get done soon, meaning the Rimrock will rise again.
"I do think something's gonna happen," says Mead. "There aren't a lot of places like this anymore."
