Lou Kohl Launches Twitter Account, To Appear at Voracious Tasting

loukohlcover.jpg
Seattle Weekly cover boy and ultra-dogmatic locavore chef Lou Kohl doesn't actually exist, but that hasn't stopped someone from opening a Twitter account on his behalf (and we swear on Michael Pollan's tongue that someone ain't us).

Among last week's tweets from the person masquerading as Kohl: "49 pigeons are in the oven in snoqualmie - and you think i don't exist!"

But that's not where the weirdness ends: Kohl will be making a brief appearance during the VIP portion of Seattle Weekly's annual Voracious Tasting & Food Awards on April 27 at the Paramount Theatre (sold out).

Presumably dressed in his signature white apron with no shirt (pants optional), Kohl, portrayed by the swarthy Alejandro Garcia of the band No Rey, will present a pair of awards (Innovation, Sustainability) to deserving local recipients (announced in our April 27 issue). No word on whether Esperanza Spalding will be his date for the evening, or whether he will slaughter a flock of common street crows near the food trucks parked outside the venue.

Meet Lou Kohl from Village Voice Media on Vimeo.
