Local Taco Trucks Compete for Best Taco Title

There were few disappointments at Wednesday night's Voracious Tasting & Food Awards, but some attendees were reportedly sorry I didn't show up in the Mexican wrestler's mask my predecessor donned last year.

Folks, I aim to please. So I'll be wearing a wrestler's mask to my second contest-judging gig of the week, 107.7 The End's Top Taco Truck Challenge on Saturday. The event's set to start at noon on the South Lake Union Discovery Center lawn, and the music won't end until 9 p.m. The in-between schedule includes the crowning of the best taco truck (attendees can register their votes via text message), a margarita competition, and karaoke contest.

Anyone can purchase a taco, but admission to the beer garden costs $5.

"It's a drinking event," an organizer assures me.

I'll be widening my mask's mouth hole accordingly. See you there.
