    Ay Chihuahua! My home country's cuisine is taking over Seattle!
    Starting on Capitol Hill: a new taco shop is now open at 218 Broadway E. Tacos Chukis features Mexico City street-style tacos, and the second installment of Sun Liquor Distillery is up and running at 512 E. Pike. Also, a new restaurant is moving into the former Kurrent nightclub space at 600 E. Pine St. come April. KiKi Tap & Eatery will feature Asian-fusion small plates and beer.

    Downtown, the people behind Bastille Café & Bar in Ballard are opening a new Mexican restaurant at 1000 Pike St. by, if all goes accordingly, the end of this month. Poquitos will feature a 122-seat dining area and a 57-seat outdoor patio, as well as a takeout counter and a small goods shop.

    In Maple Leaf, COA | mexican eatery & tequileria is taking over the former Divine space at 7919 Roosevelt Way N.E. The menu will feature "authentic, handcrafted Mexican cuisine," as well as over 50 hand-selected tequilas.

    In Queen Anne, a noodle house is moving into the former Taco Del Mar space at 12 Mercer. Wanna Noodle will feature casual eat-in and takeout items in the $10 price range. An opening date has yet to be announced.

    Lastly, over in downtown Kirkland, a Bellingham-based artisan gelato company is setting up a second shop at 111 Park Lane. Sirena Gelato features 50-plus flavors, 20 of which are available on rotation daily. The menu also includes espresso and housemade cookies.
