In Ballard, The Ridgeback Cafe is now open at 500 Northwest 65th Street. Owned by Hangar Cafe's Justin Taft, it features Belgian waffles, crepes, and sandwiches, as well as espresso and wine.

On Beacon Hill, the Beacon Pub at 3057 Beacon Avenue South poured its last round of beers last night. The beloved neighborhood bar didn't go out of business, but is moving to Hillman City.

In the Central District, Hidmo at 2000 South Jackson Street is now closed. The owners of the Eiritrean restaurant, who also offered the space to support the local music scene and community activism, plan to move into Washington Hall next April, but folks who went there for food will likely have to satisfy their injera bread craving elsewhere.

Downtown, Vessel at 1312 5th Avenue serves its last drinks this evening. The cocktail lounge will open in a new location next spring or summer - details have yet to be announced.

And lastly, in Fremont, high-quality burger joint Uneeda Burger at 4302 Fremont Avenue North opens for business on Monday, December 27. But you can get a sneak preview of the menu's extensive options like grass-fed beef, bison, elk, and lamb during today's quiet opening.

That's all for now. Happy holidays, folks!
