As reported on Reverb, Hidmo at 2000 South Jackson Street bid goodbye to the Central District last night. But its closure fits into food news, too. Yes, the beloved space hosted an eclectic array of live music nights and served as a gathering space for local hip-hop artists. But it also fed them and others a great deal of Eiritrean cuisine. Hidmo plans to move into Washington Hall next April, but folks who went there for food will likely have to satisfy their injera bread craving elsewhere.
