    Winos, to Wallingford!
Here's your rundown of restaurant news...

Let's start with the best: A 23,000-square-foot (!) wine superstore is moving into the former Office Max space at 400 Northeast 45th Street in Wallingford. Wine World will feature wine tasting counters, meeting rooms, and an espresso bar. It will sell Northwest and international bottles, wine-related accessories, chocolate, and cheese - like California-style wine superstores.

Greek restaurant Divine (7919 Roosevelt Way Northeast) in Maple Leaf has closed. Owner Vivian Peterson says business was slow, but she hopes to reopen in another location "someday."

And Capitol Hill is the most happening neighborhood this week. First off, the Starbucks at 1600 East Olive Way is closed for a two-month remodel, during which they will continue to serve coffee from a curbside van. Sushi restaurant I Love Wasabi at 420 Broadway East will soon be replaced by a vegetarian Thai restaurant called Wedgwood II. And in August, just up the street, the former Ali Baba at 408 Broadway East will become Thai-Japanese fusion restaurant Pinto Thai. La BĂȘte--the new restaurant going into the former Chez Gaudy space at 1802 Bellevue Avenue -has delayed its grand opening that was scheduled for today. And lastly, Capitol Hill Seattle reports that two new businesses are aiming to open at 12th and Pine in November: An Italian coffee and liquor bar called Varro and a Middle Eastern eatery named Eltana specializing in wood-fired baked bagels.

    Until next time...
