Morning Food News: British Pub Opens in Ballard, Sushi Bar Coming to Eastlake

Just in time for the World Cup, a new pub opens for business this afternoon at Northwest Market Street and 24th Avenue Northwest, according to My Ballard. The Market Arms features European and domestic beers, wine, and liquor, as well as traditional British fare like sausauge and mustard grain mash and (of course) fish and chips.You can watch soccer games via five televisions and make note, one is visible even if you sit on the outdoor patio.

In other news, Seattle Met reports that a new sushi restaurant is aiming for a July 2 opening at 2968 Eastlake Ave E. Sushi Kappo Tamura is Chef Taichi Kitamura's new venture; you'll recall the James Beard semifinalist previously operated Kappo in Fremont. Get them chopsticks ready!
