Are you a sweet freak?
Mmm... handmade caramels.
Then you want to head over to the Madrona Farmers Market when it kicks off its season at 3 p.m. today. Central District News reports that it has expanded its vendor lineup to include more local products, specifically sweets, than in prior seasons.
New featured items include handmade caramels from JonBoy Caramels, truffles from the Goat Milk Candy Company, and take-and-bake cakes made with Theo Chocolate from Hotcakes. You can balance out your indulgent purchases with standards like organic produce, as well.
The Madrona Farmers Market is located in the north parking lot of the Madrona Grocery Outlet at Martin Luther King Jr. Way and East Union Street. It will be open every Friday from 3 to 7 p.m., through September 24.
