Bamboo Village is now scheduled to open in July.
Happy hump day!

If you want to take a mid-week break, Full Throttle Bottles in Georgetown is hosting an Alaskan Big Beer Tasting from 5 to 7 p.m. today. For $4, you can sample five specialty beers from Alaskan Brewing Company, including raspberry wheat and smoked porter. Or, save a dollar by bringing your own tasting glass.

In other news, My Wallingford reports that the opening of Bamboo Village on 4900 Stone Way has been pushed back to July, due to longer than expected construction. Owner Po Lee (who ran House of Hong in the International District for several years) has however, already hired help: a dim sum chef from The Mirage in Las Vegas. Now that's somebody who knows how to prepare a buffet.
