Volunteer Locally to Feed the Hungry

Operation Sack Lunch offers a hands-on way to help the hungry here in Seattle. Consider giving time to help prepare and serve a hot lunch to those in need.

Operation Sack Lunch does more than provide sack lunches to local shelters. The organization provides three hot meals a day at their outdoor meal site at 6th and Columbia, and also provides meals to such organizations as Peace on the Street by Kids from the Streets, Food In Motion, and Washington Asian Pacific Islander Families Against Substance Abuse.

Volunteer opportunities are available every day of the week, beginning at 6 a.m.

Wed., Feb. 3., 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Compass Center, 210 Alaskan Way S., 866-277-9252, info@opsacklunch.org. Call first to make volunteer arrangements.
