Washington Cheesmakers Dinner at Ray's Boathouse

A seven-cheese dinner offers a culinary tour around some of the great local cheesemakers and their rich wares. You'll sup and sample the goods with Rhonda Gothberg of Gothberg Farms, Diana Dyer from Whiskey Hill Farm, Matt Day of Mt. Townsend Creamery, Blue Rose Dairy's Rhonda Rider, Amy and Stephen Huefield with Willapa Hills Farmstead Cheese, Brad and Meg Gregory of Black Sheep Creamery and Estrella Family Creamery's Kelli Estrella. Ray's Boathouse executive chef Peter Birk is the man behind this meal.

The menu includes such tempting dishes as Alaskan spot prawns with Blue Rose feta, Willapa Hills Two Faced Blue with Oyama Portuguese prosciutto, Black Sheep pecorino with smoked sablefish brandade gnocchi. The main course is Whisky Hill Northwest King cheddar, served with Thundering Hooves Kansas City strip. Full menu here.
