The Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts is celebrating its name change from the Kitchen Academy Seattle with a cooking contest tonight (Jan. 14) at the college's campus, 360 Corporate Drive North, Tukwila. Better still, attendees are the judges at the 7 p.m. event. The contest will pit three mixed teams of alumni, students and chefs against each other by making the same French classic: Poulet Sauté aux Fines Herbes (chicken with herbs).
Audience members will taste the dishes and vote on the winner. In all, the meal will include appetizers, three tasting portions of the contest entrée and dessert. A portion of the $25 ticket will go to the local Ronald McDonald House. Tickets are available online or at the door.
