Want to talk to your state legislators but don't want to cut into precious drinking time? Capitol Hill's Grey Gallery & Lounge has a solution tonight, Jan. 27, according to the Capitol Hill Blog. Combining the vision thing with beer goggles, the lounge will host a teleconference to allow locals to question lawmakers Ed Murray, Jamie Pedersen, Frank Chopp, Deb Wallace, Bob Hasegawa, and Scott White. The all-ages Q&A, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., also is scheduled for Feb. 10th and 24th.
"In January and February, join the Bus for drinks, art, and legislators in your own backyard: Olympia. In a can."
"Here's what you get to do: show up at Grey Gallery and Lounge on Capitol Hill on a Wednesday evening. Grab a beer or a soda (it's an all-ages space!), check out the art, and then prepare to have your mind blown as legislators video-conference in direct from Olympia just to talk to you.
"Every evening will focus on one of two huge themes from this year's legislative session: the environment and higher education. Think of it as your own personal smoke-filled room... minus the smoke."
