Gainsbourg Gives Us One Good Reason Not to Whine About the Price of Wine

In her "Ask the Bartender" column in last Wednesday's print edition, Maggie Savarino lamented--and explained--the sky-high price of wine at restaurants. But that's not to say there aren't great wine deals to be had around town.

Case in point: Gainsbourg, which tonight--all night, beginning at four--will be offering half-price bottles of wine, according to co-proprietor (and SW music columnist) Hannah Levin.

"Should this gray day or the state of your financial affairs be getting to you in much the same way it is myself (and nearly everyone I know), take heart in the fact that the new Tuesday night tradition of 1/2 price bottles of wine at Gainsbourg commences tonight!" writes Levin on her Facebook page. "Nothing says fiscal and spiritual comfort quite like a $14 bottle of Tempranillo."

Like she says, tonight's no one-off bargain--it's the beginning of a Tuesday night tradition at the stylish Greenwood lounge. So drink up!
