The line to get in the 5 Point Cafe (415 Cedar St.) to enjoy 25¢ beers held the young and old and obviously very thirsty. It's in the 20s, degree-wise today, fitting as so are the 5 Point's prices. The bar's new owners, David Meinert and Mandy Park wanted to celebrate the 5 Point's 80th anniversary by rolling back prices to 1929. Why not, it's like we're almost living there as it is, albeit with digital cable. Reports have the wait in line at 45 minutes to an hour once you hit the corner of the building housing Thai restaurant Singha, which was empty at the time of this photo. The specials last until 10:00pm; so that gives you approximately 3 hours left to get in line (but the bar is still open until 2:00am).

(The bar is also offering 2 eggs, bacon & toast for 25¢, 20¢ hamburger & fries, and an honest to goodness Blue Plate special for 30¢, along with those 25¢ PBRs.)
