The popular Neapolitan pizza chain is set to open its first store outside the Seattle city limits, in Issaquah, no less. Full press release after the jump/below.Founder Joe Fugere will bring his signature Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria to its first Eastside location in Issaquah, when he opens the doors for dinner on Monday, June 15, with lunch service added on Monday, June 22. Located at 715 NW Gilman Boulevard, in the heart of one of the Puget Sound area's most vibrant communities, the new restaurant joins the Stone Way, Westlake and original Columbia City location. Founded five years ago, Tutta Bella was Seattle's first Vera Pizza Napoletana (VPN) certified Neapolitan pizzeria and is held accountable to the Association's high culinary standards.
The 6,000 square foot restaurant seats 210 with 40 seats on the outdoor terrace for summer al fresco dining.
Authentic VPN certified Neapolitan fire-roasted pizzas will be baked in two five-foot round marble-clad, wood-burning ovens under the supervision of Chef Anthony Ferrara. Each oven will be blessed by a local priest on June 13th, prior to opening, and named. The Issaquah ovens will be called Maria and Carolina, after the owner's mother and Italian grandmother, respectively. Maria and Carolina will be fueled by local Washington apple wood and generate an average cooking temperature of 850 degrees Fahrenheit. Additional menu items include calzone, antipasti, signature salads, house-made desserts and gelato by Davide of Bottega Italiana.
The award winning Tutta Bella cocktail menu showcases drinks using traditional Italian spirits and a selection of Italian apertivi, digestivi and grappas. Tutta Bella Amber™, a signature beer brewed specifically for the pizzeria by Big Al Brewing in Seattle is offered alongside imported Italian beers and a rotating local handle.
General Manager Kelli Phelan points out that among the wine choices from all over Italy, no bottle is priced over $40 and all are available by the glass, which customers love.
Tutta Bella serves Attibassi espresso, flown in weekly direct from Italy, which is prepared at the true Neapolitan style espresso bar, featuring a traditional lever-action espresso machine.
Hours will be 11 am -10 pm Sunday through Thursday and 11 am -11 pm Friday and Saturday. For information call (425) 391-6838.
