In retrospect, it seems as predictable as the light saber showdown between Darth and Luke. First, Starbucks mimicked McDonald's by seemingly expanding into every neighborhood (if not bathroom) in America and beyond. Then, McDonald's took a bite out of Starbucks' market share by pushing its line of coffee drinks and running an anti-urbanite ad campaign that seemed culled straight from the Republican Party electoral handbook. And now, Starbucks is biting back with its own anti-shitty coffee campaign targeted at McDonald's, reports the NYT.
