More Inauguration Day To Dos

Whether you're playing hookie and making it a four day weekend or you're planning on catching up in the evening, here are a few more places to go and watch the big event:

South Lake Union (PM): Obama Ball at the Armory, 6:00pm to 10:00pm
For $22 per person (kids enter for free), you get a sixteen piece big band, a replay of all the day's events, and a "soul food" buffet (uh...Obama's from Hawaii -- best bring it with the macaroni salad). Get your tickets HERE. (US Naval Armory, 860 Terry Ave. N.)

Pioneer Square (AM): 88 Keys, 8:00am to 11:00am
Featuring brunch and ten big screen TVs, 88 Keys will offer drink specials and a very recession friendly $10.90 brunch (The event is sponsored by KPTK am 1090). Call 839-1300 for reservations.

Downtown (AM): The Paramount, doors open at 7:00am,
This free event presented through a partnership with KOMO News. Snacks and beverages provided at concession stands so no B.Y.O. whatnot. (911 Pine St.)

Georgetown (PM): The Corson Building,  starting at 6:00pm
No reservations needed for this open-house style event, featuring wood-fired pizza and Oyster Bill from Taylor Shellfish shucking up a storm. All food is inclusive and there will be a cash bar. $25 at the door (5609 Corson Ave. S.)
