I used this press photo for a radio interview I conducted with Shannon and Erik back in November 2005, when Veil first opened. Last night, I received an email from the general manager that the place was closing:
"To all of our friends,
It is with great remorse that we must confirm that Veil will be closing its doors for good. We thank you for your patronage throughout the years. But before we go, we do have just a few days left and would love to see you before its all said and done. In addition to some great specials on our wine selection (1/3 off bottles $60 or more), we are offering Happy Hour all night long from now until then and $1 Martinis at Brunch on Saturday and Sunday. We will be CLOSED on FRIDAY and SATURDAY evenings for Private functions, but feel free to stop by Thursday evening or for Brunch. We look forward to saying hello to you one last time!"
While Shannon will be out of work (for now), his business partner Erik is in Italy studying interior design.
Veil will close after brunch service (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.) this Sunday. Their last dinner service is tonight. Reservations are highly recommended.
