Coming Soon to Bellevue: Restaurants That Don't Suck

BOOMBELL1.JPG

The folks that brought us Boom Noodle are opening another Boom in Bellevue Square. Co-founder and owner Steven Rosen tells me they're opening up shop next to Luciano either by the end of this year or early next.

Top Pot is also opening a new store in Belleuve this week. Owner Mark Klebeck says deep-fried goodness will be available this Thursday at 10600 N.E. 9th Place. It'll be the company's first venture on the Eastside.

And last but not least...

...the man behind Purple Cafe & Wine Bar has taken over most of the more than 16,000 square feet in lease space at the new Bellevue Towers to make room for three distinct dining concepts.

The first one will be a fourth Purple Cafe and is slated to open in November. The second will be another Barrio Restaurant (the first incarnation is expected to open on Capitol Hill mid-October) -- Mexican cuisine with the oh-so-popular Northwest flair. And the third yet-to-be-named restaurant has been described to me as your typical neighborhood cafe offering fresh baked pastries, espresso, tea, lunch and desserts. The last two restaurants should be in business by early next year.

Other notable restaurants opening in Bellevue: Wild Ginger, El Gaucho and a new steakhouse from John Howie.
