Bin Vivant Pops Its Cork in Kirkland

Bin vivant, the new "vinocentric" restaurant inside the Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland that I wrote about last month, is finally open!

I got a sneak peak of the place -- and its menu -- last night. My top picks: pigs-in-a-blanket (grilled char siu pork wrapped in rice paper)...

The prosciutto fig open face sandwich with arugula, gorgonzola, and aged balsamic...

The patio, which I'm told seats 44, sits right on the shores of Lake Washington. Amazingly, the former Waters restaurant never took advantage of this space, using it as a walkway instead of a seating area. WTF?
