There are several food-centric tours of Seattle, nearly all of which are organized around stops in the tourist mecca that is Pike Place Market. If you’ve got family coming to visit, they might enjoy one of these walking and snacking trips. All tours promise to supply a meal’s worth of samples, a bottle of water, and a behind-the-scenes look into some of the better (and lesser) known culinary stops in the city.
Below is a brief overview of what your out-of-town guests can expect from these tours, in terms of price, length, and culinary attractions. (Lists of attractions are quoted from tour Web sites.)
Savor Seattle Food Tours
The newest tour company in the city, which ventures both into and outside of Pike Place Market.
The Market itself offers a tour for each meal of the day, though the stops sound very similar to the rest of the tours: chowder, artisan cheese, alder-smoked salmon, truffles and live oil, piroskys, donuts, gelato, crumpets, tea, etc.
