So the Well Fed Network has just announced its nominations for the 2007 Food Blog Awards, and a few local favorites have made the cut:
This is the It year for the Gluten-Free Girl, Shauna James Ahern. Not only is her new book winning rave reviews, but her blog has been nominated in the "Post," "Writing," and "Food Blog of the Year" categories.
Competing against her in the "Post" category (though I'm not quite sure what that means) is Orangette, whose author, Molly Wizenberg, is working on her own book deal.
And I'm delighted to announce that Voracious contributor Jess Thomson's blog, Hogwash, is nominated in the "Best New Blog" category. Jess is a great writer of both recipes and commentary, and she set herself the task this year of writing one recipe a day for 365 fricken days. Check out her blog and egg her on as she hunts down ideas to make it through her last two weeks.
Voting will last until 9:00 a.m. PST this Friday. Congratulations to all, and let me know if I missed any other local bloggers.
