Local Oaxacan-music aficionados La Banda Gozona are throwing their annual party tomorrow, Saturday the 8th, and if you have a hankering for mole or guelaguetza-style dancing, you might want to check this event out:

Where: Dr. Blanch Lavizzo Park in the Central District (22nd & Yesler)

When: Starts 12:30 p.m.

Cost: Nada (though contributions are welcome)

Every year, says co-organizer Lisa Levy, the expat community comes together to make food for the picnic: Oaxacan style mole with chicken, chicken barbacoa, enchiladas and enmoladas, dulce de calabaza, roast veggies with vegetarian mole, plus whatever other treats guests contribute.
For more info about the group, check out the video segment that the Seattle Channel made about them last fall.
