Via Tribunali at Havana

Good food for Goodfellas.

Over the past few Wednesdays, Capitol Hill nightspot Havana has hosted an eclectic series of movies in its large parking lot. For Martin Scorsese's fantastic film Goodfellas, screening tonight, Via Tribunali (located just across the street from Havana) is setting up a pizza parlor! Says Havana proprieter Quentin Ertel:

"Dino, Tribunali's Pizzaiolo, is a master chef from the heart of Napoli, and he'll be manning the wood-fired oven all night. This is a real treat, a gesture of profound generosity, and something that happens when a neighborhood comes together. It's old school, and it's the way things should be."

I concur. And while it would've been fun to have a tea service during Blow-Up or a massive plate of cocaine (kidding) during Scarface, tonight's film-appropriate munchies really elevate this outdoor series to Event status. I'm already excited for next summer.
