The House of Mondavi: The Rise and Fall of an American Wine Dynasty
San Francisco-based Wall Street Journal contributor Julia Flynn Siler visits this new winery to read from and talk about her new book. The House of Mondavi is the tale of how this Napa Valley family brought California wine drinking to popularity, amassed great wealth doing so, and nearly destroyed itself in the process. Siler tells the story of four generation of Mondavis, and how Robert Mondavi sued his own family to claim his share of the family fortune.
