Cafe Presse hoping to open next Tuesday

When I talked to Jim Drohman this morning (who, partnered with Joanne Herron, is the force behind Le Pichet), he said he hopes their latest project, Cafe Presse, will be open to the public next Tuesday. The cafe will channel Paris, with long hours, a hefty selection of international newspapers and magazines (finally! a place to read The Financial Times anonymously at midnight!) and a French menu that runs more to urban/Parisian fare than the cuisine de campagne the duo has become known for at Le Pichet: look for things like omelets, croques monsieur, baguette sandwiches, salade nicoise, and steak tartare.

And yes, you'll be able to read the Weekly there, too.

Check the website to verify Cafe Presse's opening day; Jim will be updating it later this week.

Cafe Presse, 1117 12th Avenue, 709-7674. SOUTH CAPITOL HILL
