It probably doesn't take a degree from Harvard Business School to figure out that wine bars are doing well in Seattle (if you've been under a rock, here's a visual that demonstrates just how many have cropped up in the past few years).
But it probably can't hurt a business plan. Two smarty HBS grads are headed this way to open The Local Vine, a wine bar slated to start offering 80 wines by the glass in July, and possibly "a number of wine bars" throughout the PNW over the next few years (which might be where the HBS stuff comes in).
The idea behind The Local Vine is to create a place that focuses more on learning about wine and chilling out (think free wi-fi, fireplace) than about being seen. The menu (small plates, of course) is being designed by Jason Wilson of Crush.
