Dine for Darfur

When you eat out tomorrow, choose wisely.

If you don't celebrate Passover and feel out of touch with modern-day oppression, tomorrow's Dine for Darfur event should serve as an effective reality check.

Tomorrow, April 3rd, many Seattle area restaurants, bars, and coffee shops are participating in Dine for Darfur, which means they will donate 25% of their proceeds to relief efforts in Darfur. Here's a list of participating venues, but keep your eyes peeled for signs elsewhere; not all participating businesses are listed.

In case you're as clueless as the woman I saw talking to the barista at Seven Coffee Roasters, who wanted to know if Darfur was hit by the tsunami, here's a quick education in why the region needs aid.
