The Washington Brewers Guild seasonal Cask Beer Festival is a chance to taste cask-conditioned beers from some of the top Northwest breweries. While the winter festival featured a bevy of dark and stormy brews, this weekend's line up should range a bit in styles--white beer, reds, and tripels. Admission includes a souvenir cup and a taste of everything, from Scuttlebutt's Weizenbock to McMenamin's Pickle Weasel Pale. I'll have to think of a more sly way to taste and spit, having dicovered that this is somewhat frowned upon in the brew circle, unlike wine tastings. But how else is a girl supposed to make it to work safe and relatively sound?
Saturday, March 10th 2 sessions: 12 to 4pm AND 6 to 10pm at the Alki Room at Seattle Center $40 at the door, $35 in advance tickets via: www.washingtonbeer.com
