You may have read about Crush in The New York Times, and lest you be intimidated by all the good press this place has been getting (and the lines out the door) chef/owner Jason Wilson is launching an intimate "Test Kitchen Sundays." The first test kitchen dinner takes place this Sunday, January 21at 7 p.m., and subsequent dinners are scheduled for the third Sunday of each month.
Limited to 20 diners, a four-course meal will be served family style, featuring experiments with new, seasonal ingredients. In this casual setting, diners will get a chance to be part of test process, sampling the results of the chef's culinary explorations. Each month's meal will focus on one or two select ingredients (think Iron Chef) - this month's meal features shellfish and citrus. Sommelier Chris Lara will pour four wines, one paired with each course (also part of the test process). $45. For reservations and more info call 206-30-CRUSH (206-302-7874).
