Today marks the official grand opening of Voracious, Seattle Weekly’s new food blog, which we promise to fill -- cram, even -- with Seattle restaurant gossip, foodie events, news, and odd finds. Instead of blathering on about our plans, however, I thought I’d clue you in to three not-so-obvious restaurant resources on our website:
2006 Thanksgiving Guide. Since we’re getting phone calls from diners asking where they can go to dinner on turkey day, as well as tons of emails from restaurants sharing their Thanksgiving menus with us, we decided to hook you all up. Know of another restaurant serving Thanksgiving dinner? Let us know.
The Weekly’s iPod dining guide. Click here to download the Weekly’s entire dining guide onto your iPod. It’s simple to install and searchable by name, cuisine, and neighborhood. I take mine everywhere.
Archived restaurant reviews and happy hour boxes. When you read a review -- this one, say -- look for the gray bar above the headline. Next to the red “Food” box on the left margin, you’ll find “Restaurant Reviews.” Click on the words, and you’ll be magically transported to the restaurant review archive, where past reviews are organized by date. You can do the same with happy hour boxes.
Above all, let us know what you think of the blog.
