Chantelle, and her high school youth group at Hope Lutheran Church, raised money from the sale to fund their summer mission trip to rebuild homes in New Orleans.

Seattle People photographer/storyteller Jenny Jimenez wandered over to West Seattle Community Garage Sale Day on Saturday, May 9, 2009, where she found bargain hunters, entrepreneurs, and other assorted treasures. In this weekly series, Jimenez has also visited Greenwood, Lake City, and the Central District.
