Two women wearing silver Statue of Liberty style crowns and painted as live American Flags show their exhibitionist side for the naked bicycle ride that kicked off the Fremont Solstice Parade Saturday afternoon.

Bright colors, funky designs and the occasional political undertone made up this year's annual Fremont Solstice Parade. Starting on North East 36th Street. with a barrage of brilliantly painted naked bicyclists and ending at Gasworks Park with a musical fiesta of swirling dancers and floats, Fremont was indeed the center of the universe last Saturday afternoon.
