Dog Adoption Day!

Immortal Dog Pet Supply & Bakery teamed up with Salty Dog Rescue to host a dog adoption event on Saturday. The team went over to Yakima to pick up dogs from a shelter earlier in the week. This shelter has a high influx of dogs coming in, and not many adoptions, so these dogs would have most likely been euthanized. The team only selects dogs who have had their shots, and those that are most likely to be adopted, in order to continue to have good turnaround. Because Salty Dog Rescue has no permanent facility, foster homes house the dogs until adoption events. These foster "parents" care for the dogs temporarily, until they can find a permanent home.

With so many dogs overwhelming shelters everywhere, Salty Dog Rescue and Immortal Dog hope to encourage adoption as a smart alternative.
