Local electronic musician Vox Mod (Scot Porter) has just released the first track from his upcoming SYN-ÆSTHETIC album, which is set for an April release. Called "Iridescent Asteroid Mists", its cold bass kick underscores some more personable synths, and together, the ingredients create a spacious arena for none other than Shabazz Palaces mastermind Palaceer Lazaro to grace. "That's how we start it off", begins Lazaro's verse - a nice introduction to the album, indeed. The song is a solid statement on its own, and an excellent teaser for the (Erik Blood co-produced) full-length. Give it a listen, then watch the album trailer after the jump.

For the trailer (below) Porter drew all of the images, and set the animations himself, which is amazing; the clip is fantastic, and ultra-creative. We've got some great, multi-faceted artists in this little city, and Mod is definitely a blossoming one. On that note: have you seen Truckasauras' website?
